ALERT does not in any way advocate the illegal use of entheogens, nor do we facilitate or participate in any public or private Ayahuasca healing ceremonies in the United States of America at this time.  Many of us have experienced these ceremonies in countries like Peru and Ecuador where Ayahuasca is not only legal, but a foundation of the spiritual and medicinal culture of these people.  We have been powerfully transformed by our experiences, and feel great sorrow that our brothers and sisters in America are unable to know the beauty and healing that we have known due to unnecessary laws and regulations placed upon us by politicians who do not understand the difference between ancient, sacred medicine and crack cocaine.  We are not willing to jeapordize our families, jobs and freedom in America by participating in illegal activity, so we are actively seeking to educate those lawmakers who have put these restrictions in place in order to convince them that their laws against entheogens are doing more harm than good, and that the reversal of these laws will provide a powerful path to healing for thousands of people who seek it.

We founded this organization in order to unite the many individuals in our country who believe that we have a Constitutional right to freedom of religious expression, which includes the use of sacred entheogens--a spiritual practice dating back tens of thousands of years.  Only together can we fight for our right to participate in these ceremonies legally in the US, and win.  We believe that spirituality and healing are eternally intertwined, and that in order to heal the body the spirit must be whole first.  We believe that entheogens can help one to achieve this mind-body union necessary for health and for maintaining a unity with the Source of All.  We therefore dedicate our efforts and our finances toward making the healing ceremonies legally available to each and every person on Earth who feels called to the experience.  Please do not put yourself, your family and freedom at risk by participating in illegal activity, rather join us and dedicate your time, money or both to making our voice heard. 

Let's end the war on Entheogens and reclaim the freedoms that our Founding Fathers meant for us to enjoy.  Together we can.
